How the Test Works

TEST PRINCIPLE

Aids Test KitThe HIV Screen TEST KIT that we distribute has been tested in many medical laboratories and hospital.

In Holland it has been Government approved to be sold over the counter in drug stores.

Aids Test KitStudies in many countries have shown that the 2 minute test is very accurate.

Please be aware that in the USA, this test has not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration.

It utilizes a mixture of synthetic peptides corresponding to conserved regions of HIV-1/HIV-2 env, genomes as capture antigens, which are coated onto a membrane matrix. This captures the antibodies to HIV-1/HIV-2 present in human serum, plasma or whole blood when a drop of a specimen blood is placed on the membrane.

The membrane is then washed to remove any nonspecific binding, and the captured antibodies are visualized through a colorimetric reaction with a proprietary protein. A colloidal gold conjugate.

Positive Test Results

The conjugate binds to the HIV antibodies to produce a distinctive RED DOT ON THE TEST KIT MEMBRANE, AND THIS REPRESENTS A POSITIVE TEST.

In contrast, the absence of HIV antibodies does not yield a red dot.
Negative Test Results

A clear white test membrane indicates that at this particular point in time, your test is negative.  Test again in 40 days.  If you have any concerns or questions, do the test at your doctor's office.

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

It is important that you consult a Doctor and preferably take the test in the presence of a qualified physician, or laboratory or health technician.  They can also arrange for a laboratory ELISA Test to confirm the results.
